Staubach dropped back to pass and threw a deep ball into the end zone for Pearson. Pearson leaped over defender James Johnson and made a diving catch to win the game for the Cowboys.

Smith was one of the most dominant running backs in NFL history. He rushed for over 18,000 yards in his career, which is the most of any player in NFL history. In 2002, Smith broke Walter Payton’s all-time rushing record. He did it on a 20-yard run against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Cowboys were trailing the Lions 24–20 in the NFC Wild Card Round with just over two minutes remaining. Prescott led the Cowboys on a game-winning drive, capped off by a 38-yard touchdown pass to Dez Bryant.
